Here in Oregon we have been blessed with warmer than average weather and clear blue skies for several days in a row - a welcomed change from the typical gray, drizzly days of February! The crocuses are started to break through the damp earth to bring little bursts of color, as well. Yesterday, I even saw a daffodil! THE ACE OF CUPS
As in all of the Minor Arcana suits, Aces represent new beginnings. Specifically, the Ace of Cups represents an opening of the heart to greater giving and receiving. Think of your heart as a flower bud that is opening into a full blossom. When the Ace of Cups energy is present we are feeling a new sense of trust, connectedness and peace within ourselves and our relationships. As with all perception shifts, the particulars of the situations you find yourself in may not have changed at all. The change that has occurred is internal. You are seeing things in a new light. Or in this case, feeling things in a new way.
The Ace of Cups energy often comes to us after a period of strife or crisis of confidence. We once again see the light of the One Love and we open ourselves to Its flow. We are able to receive this Love, to fill up our own heart's cup and become ready to pass along this Love to others. We are now trusting ourselves, our loved ones and life in general. Rifts are mended; confidence and optimism return.
